Transgender Healthcare at Medical Grand Rounds- A Multi-Disciplinary Approach
Dr. MacPhee with be joining J. Loiuse Newton, MSW, LCSW, of Carolina Partners in Mental Healthcare and Eric Klett, MD of UNC Endocrinology for the presentation next week.
We will present to the University of North Carolina Hospitals, Chapel Hill, Department of Medicine Grand Rounds on 12/15/16. The purpose is to teach residents and medical students about the range of mental health, medical, and surgical care for gender non-conforming and transgender patients.
This is especially relevant as more insurance plans are adding transgender care to their benefits packages.
Dr. MacPhee will present surgical information explaining breast removal top surgery, facial feminization, breast augmentation, and genital reconstruction.
